I tried using getoffroam and, the eSIM setup was a bit of a hassle. The QR code took a while to actually work, and the instructions weren’t as clear as I’d hoped. I did get it installed in the end, so I guess that’s a plus, but I had to restart my phone twice and kind of figure out a couple settings on my own. It wasn’t terrible, and it did work, but I wouldn’t call the process easy.

i had a bit of trouble getting my hotspot connected at first, mostly because i wasn’t totally sure if i had set everything up the right way. support got back to me quickly and walked me through the settings. it took a little back and forth, but they were patient and didn’t make it feel confusing. once we got it sorted out, the hotspot worked fine for my trip. giving 4 stars because the setup could be easier, but the support was solid

I did get it working in the end, so, like, it’s not a bad product or anything. But the setup instructions could definitely be clearer. A few parts felt like they were sort of skipping over steps or just assuming I already knew what to do, which, you know, made the whole thing take longer than I expected. Not terrible overall, but a bit frustrating. I think 3 stars feels fair.

My phone kept dropping to no service, which got old really fast. Support didn’t help much either, and I kept having to verify my account over and over every time I reached out, which was super annoying. Definitely not worth it for me

I thought checkout was going to be quick and simple like they promised, but it was annoying. The page kept lagging, and I had to re-enter my details more than once. I did manage to finish the order eventually, but it definitely wasn’t the smooth experience they made it sound like...

I used the site and didn’t run into any problems. It comes across as honest, which is nice because you never really know with some sites these days. I feel like they could maybe be a bit clearer in a few places, but overall it felt safe to use.

In the end, support got my issue fixed and I was able to finish setting everything up. I did get stuck at one point, and it took them a little while to get back to me, but once they replied they were helpful and walked me through what I needed to do...

I ended up needing a refund from getoffroam.com, and it went smoothly. I already had a feeling they’d be reasonable about it, and the quick reply kind of confirmed that for me. I was expecting at least a little back and forth, but they handled it without making it awkward or difficult. The money showed up back in my account a few days later. Simple, fair process overall.

I used Get Off Roam on my trip and overall it worked better than I expected. I mostly needed it for the usual travel stuff like Google Maps, WhatsApp, checking websites, looking up restaurants, and figuring out train times, and all of that worked fine. The data speed was good most of the time, including when I was on trains, which is usually where I expect things to get annoying or drop out. There was one time in a really busy area where it slowed down for a bit, so pages took longer to load and I had to wait a little, but it came back quickly and didn’t ruin anything. So no, it wasn’t absolutely perfect every single second, but for normal travel use it was reliable enough, and I’d use it again

I like parts of it, but it can be hard to use sometimes, like I’ll be trying to do one simple thing and then oh, wait, where did that setting go? It’s not terrible, just a bit frustrating when you’re in the middle of something.

It’s okay, but I wish there were more options to choose from :) A little more variety would make the experience much better!

Support did end up fixing the issue, but it took way longer than I expected, and by the time it was done, half my data was still missing. that’s what bothered me the most, I was already stressed about the problem, and losing that much information made it hard to feel confident using the service again
